About me,..

Hi, I’m Alex, through a career of designing and managing, I’ve found that I’m at my best when I’m helping others succeed. I’ve always worked towards mentoring and sharing what I have learned over the years.

As a designer, I’m passionate about solving tough customer problems by combining thoughtful research, clever technology, and beautiful design. I’ve previously contributed to and led design teams for brands like Nickelodeon, Disney, Hard Rock Hotels and Casinos, Topps Co., AT&T, and many others.

For the past few years, I’ve expanded my skills to include designing for the web as well as design the development of app products. That’s when I started Galaxy, wanting to have a place where I could practice my skills and make it easy for people to find me. You might be wondering, why “Galaxy”?.. well it has nothing to do with the Samsung phones or the movie Guardians of the Galaxy, Instead I named it after a comic shop that my friends would go to after school when I was a kid. We loved it there, we could be geeks and talk about comics and debate all things comics without being considered weird. In the same way, Galaxy is a place where creativity grows, is shared and everyone's opinion is valid.

Now I’m bringing all of my accumulated talents into more human space,... UX. This is a field in design where you get to combine technology and people as well as work towards something better every day for users and clients. I need to help people of all walks of life to interact with technology. I’ve watched technology grow past so many people and leave them disconnected. Believing there is a place in technology where humans can interact because we are all just human. We just have to keep empathy in mind and focus on why we do what we do.
